Eureka!

So I had a Dr. House-style epiphany while driving home from the grocery store this evening:

Maybe I should date a younger guy!
Confused? It's quite simple. I've always had a bit of a reputation for liking the older men. My explanation was simply, "what you see is what you get." I liked the fact that the older guys were mostly set - they've done it all and now they're ready for whatever they're ready for. I liked that since I don't do very well with surprises. The only problem was that I would end up feeling suffocated after 2 or 3 months of dating and the relationship would end.

Moving forward, I'm not talking about a guy who's 5 years younger (as 5 years older was no problem for me), especially since I have a younger brother who's 22. But think about it - If I date a younger guy who still likes to have his time to go out with his friends and have a great time, that'll leave more time for me to be alone! It's brilliant!

  1. Not sure... maybe you should just find a guy with a personality, and substance...

  2. Depends on where you are in your life...interested in something casual and fun? go younger. Looking for something more committed/serious? go {a little!} older.

PS Ask_Izzy did a post on this earlier this month if you care to share your thoughts:
